Ceramic artist and teacher

Hi, I'm Holly!

Let's get playful with clay.

I turn my illustrated characters into mugs and dishes full of personality, and I teach makers how to handbuild their own. No wheel needed, just curiosity and a little wobble.

Turn your drawings into pottery.

Handbuild playful, functional pottery.

Clay with Character is a step-by-step course with 7 modules, 60+ bite-sized video lessons and over 7 hours of guided demonstrations. Start with materials and tools, practise on two mini projects, then design and build your very own character mug.

Watch on any device, learn at your own pace and rewatch tricky steps whenever you need. Lifetime access, no wheel required.

At the end of the course you'll be able to:

Pinched, coiled and slab-built ceramic pieces

01

Handbuild

Pinch, coil and slab your way to sturdy, functional pieces with that charming handmade wobble.

Meet your teacher

From sketchbook to studio.

I'm the artist behind Studio ULNA, known for playful ceramics that turn my illustrated characters into 3D forms full of charm. I also love cats, so you'll spot them in many of my pieces.

I love drawing about as much as I love playing with clay, so my work always marries the two: translating a bold illustration style into clay through surface decoration, shape language and sculpted details.

Making is deeply therapeutic for me, and my goal is simple: to spark joy and add a little more whimsy to the world.
